The 1st Annual Groundwater Conference will give much needed impetus to raising awareness of the critical role of groundwater in meeting development challenges in the face of climate change across the SADC region. The conference, hosted by SADC-GMI from September 26- 28, 2018, will be held under the overarching theme of “Adapting to Climate Change in the SADC Region through Water Security – A Focus on Groundwater”.
The three-day conference, held by SADC-GMI at the Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa closed on a high note on Friday, 28 September 2018. The conference theme was “Adapting to Climate Change in the SADC Region through Water Security – A Focus on Groundwater”.
